Post subject: Trying To Warm Up to Al Gore

Former Vice President and Senator Albert Gore has produced a movie in regard to the environment. As most of you already know, Gore is a huge environmental guy. Although the issue of the environment came up in his unsucessful presidential run. Gore has continued to make the environment a reef of thorns to place on the republican and President's head. He claims that this administration and the republican party would rather turn the majestical forests and wildlife into a place filled with nuclear 55 gallon drums. Gore is trying to paint the earth we live in as a place where the air is filled with some much smut and pollution, that we would need space suits to even go outside.

So besides, political grandstanding and calling for the resignations of Donald Rumsfield and Condelezza Rice. Gore has found time to add global warming to the list of "I can't believe he [bush] was elected" list. Gore and his former boss, Bill Clinton feel that global warming is more important than the war on terror (5/23).

Well that explains the inaction in regard to the string of terrorist attacks while they were in office. Apparently, the one degree rise in temperature is cause to sound the alarm and throw more money into projects in which scientist cannot conclusively agree what is causing the earth to warm up. But hey no problem, this is happening under the Bush regime and they just want to point that out, without bringing up the fact that their Kyoto Agreement was dead in the water, once Gore, who was VP got back from his conference in Japan. I'm pretty sure, his movie won't mention that Congress had already advised the Clinton Administration, that if Kyoto Agreement did not involve third world countries, such as India (When do countries become second or first world, you would think that since India now has a bomb, that should have put them in first class). Gore came back with an agreement leaving out India and other third world countries. And Congress kept to it's word and did not give an resolution.

I'm gonna hold my breath to see if our media brings that out...

RF23,

Being from Colorado, which is arguably the most beautiful state in The Union, I fancy myself somewhat of a quasi-environmentalist. Not an environmentalist in the same vein of those nutcases who committ acts of terrorism against the people who work in industries like the Logging Industry, but more of a Genesis 1: 26-28 kind of "Environmentalist". You know, where it says:
Quote:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I look at the word "DOMINION" and interpret it the same as what I found on this site. http://www.theologywebsite.com/archives/ministry/index.shtml
Quote:
God gave Adam and Eve two positive instructions. One was to be fruitful and multiply. He intended that they be the first of many, who would spread out over the earth, subduing it and exercising delegated authority from God -- “dominion” -- over the earth. And in conjunction with that, they were to protect and work the garden, which was the first place to come under the dominion of man. The garden, which I believe was intended as a prototype for the rest of the earth, was a special place of God’s presence. Adam was God’s “on-site” manager for the garden, and, had things played out as intended, of the world.

I wonder if Al Gore was on the "global freeze" bandwagon that was supposed to happen back in the 1970s? Would be interesting to find out.

Interesting, hadn't thought of that. I think I will check into that. Wink Idon't know why people just listen to this person and assume he and half of the scientists are correct Rolling Eyes And at the same time, the more they exaggerate the more federal dollars they get, (from the gullible hard working American pockets). We're in a climate (no pun intended) where some will say that there's irrefutable evidence that global warming is true yet others will argue there's more evidence from geneticist that say without a shadow of a doubt that life begins at conception. So where should we put our federal dollars. To save the earth or to save the children?
